Permanent makeup is the process of applying pigment (colour) into the skin using a fine short microneedle. Safe, organic pigments are deposited into the very outer layer of skin.

  • Active Lifestyles – Permanent makeup allows a person to feel more confident when participating in activities that normally cause conventional makeup to sweat off.
  • Little or no brow hair – Thinning brow hair is a sign of aging and gives the illusion of the face dropping. Microblading hair strokes can be applied to the eyebrow area in such a way that it looks as if more eyebrow hair is growing, framing and lifting the face.
  • Thin Lips – Lip Liner and Full Lip Color can make shrinking lips look fuller and detract from lines around an aging mouth. It helps rebuild the rim of the lip giving a smoother edge to the lips
  • Little or no lash hair – Eyelash hair also thins with age. Permanent Eyeliner gives eyes the illusion of thicker lashes.
  • Visual impairment  / Contact lenses – As women get older their vision diminishes. This makes it hard for them to apply their eyeliner and brows. It can also give them a sense of helplessness.
  • Allergies
  • Unsteady hands – As people get older their mobility is hindered and it is more difficult to apply makeup in a precise manner. Permanent Cosmetics allow an older woman to feel assured that her makeup looks good and consistent all the time.
  • Those who just want to look great all of the time without the hassle

Our Permanent cosmetic procedures are performed using a permanent makeup machine, brows are done with a blade. Your appointment includes a medical overview and a detailed discussion regarding your expectations including design and colour. The application of the pigment is next. You are a part of the whole process during the procedure

Permanent cosmetic procedures are considered permanent because the colour implanted into the skin cannot be washed off. However, as with any tattoo, fading can and often does occur, requiring periodic maintenance, colour re-enhancement or refreshing.  Just like hair colour, the implanted colour will fade over time depending on your health, skin type and how well you care for your skin.

  • A brand new  pre-packaged, sterile, single use needle or blade is used for each client, guaranteed.
  • Equipment and supplies are kept in a sanitary manner.
  • Gloves are worn during each procedure and changed often.
  • All equipment and bottles are wrapped in plastic and rewrapped after use to avoid any cross contamination.

Your comfort is very important to us! We take pride in making our clients as comfortable as possible. Most people experience some discomfort likened to a plucking or scouring sensation. This will vary according to each individual’s threshold. Using various topical anesthetics that have been medically developed for permanent makeup application makes procedures reasonably comfortable.

All permanent make-up procedures are multi appointment procedures. You will need 2 sessions, 8–12 weeks apart, and then a color boost every 12–24 months depending on the technique used. After the initial procedure, you may want to return for a touch-up. A touch-up is a colour booster. Permanent cosmetic makeup can be a process. It is recommended that you wait at least 6 weeks before your touch-up so your initial procedure has time to heal properly. To traumatize the skin sooner can be uncomfortable and doesn’t allow enough time for the pigment to settle in the skin. For microblading its 4 weeks, as its a shallower process.

The initial procedure will generally take approximately 90 min to 2 ½ hours; there are records to establish; photographs to take; desired design and color to discuss; the procedure to perform; and the aftercare requirements to discuss. Follow up or color booster procedures usually do not require the same amount of time.

While eyebrows may show little after effect, eyeliner and lips may show slight to moderate swelling. This is very dependent upon the amount of work performed. As examples; an eyelash enhancement will show very little response to the tattooing procedure compared to a more moderate response when wide eyeliner is performed.  The same philosophy applies to lip color procedures.  A lip liner or blended lip liner will show less effects of the procedure than that of a full lip color.  Also, some people swell more from minor skin infractions than others.
During the procedure there may be some minor bleeding. This again, is client specific. Many people take blood thinners on a daily basis so some slight bleeding would be expected. Others show little or no signs of bleeding. Bruising is rare but again, if a person is on blood thinners, bruising could occur. What is seen more often is that eyebrows rarely if ever produce any bruising; minor bruising during eyeliner procedures is possible if the skin being tattooed is very thin and close to the vascular system. This also applies to lip procedures in the event the client is more mature. If bruising does occur, typically it is minor and subsides in a few days.
There is usually some tenderness for a few days. The color is much darker than you may expect for the first six to ten days.

Permanent Makeup is long-lasting, but one can still wear fashionable make-up at night or apply makeup for a fresh and natural look for daytime. Permanent Makeup simply builds the foundation for looking perfect without looking made-up. Best option is to choose a subtle everyday colour for permanent makeup and your bolder choices in your makeup bag.

Microblading, Combo Brows, Powder Brows

PMU POWDER BROWS/MICROBLADING image
Microblading

Microblading is a semi-permanent tattoo on the brow that is applied using a manual tool (no machine). Safe, organic pigments are deposited into the very outer layer of skin with very small, individual, feathered strokes that perfectly mimic eyebrow hair. The result is a very natural look that won’t need to be filled in with make-up.
The procedure is done using a hand tool, with a pre-packaged, sterile, single use “blade” made up of a grouping of needles that are 3 x smaller than the needles that would be used in a tattoo machine. With the appropriate amount of pressure, the skin is scored and the pigment is deposited into the epidermis (outermost layer of skin).

Combo Brows

Combo brows is a combination of two forms of semi-permanent techniques: microblading and powder brows (shading), that creates an makeup look with hyper-realistic hair strokes. This is a beautiful option for clients who wish to achieve a “fluffy” look at the fronts of their brows, but need a bit more density through the body of brow. Touch Up needed 1-2 years.
permanent makeup.

Powder Brows

Powder Brows uses an ultra-fine tattoo needle and a Permanent Makeup (PMU) Device to deliver pigment to the skin. Powder Brows are sometimes referred to or called "Ombre Brows." Powder Brows result in a look most like makeup powder. Touch Up needed 1-3 years.

Permanent eyebrow treatments are perfect for the following:

  1. Hair loss and lack of definition/shape
  2. Thin brows caused by years of over tweezing.
  3. Chemotherapy or Alopecia
  4. Scars, gaps in the brow
  5. Lengthening the tails of existing eyebrows
  6. Thickening thin brows

BROWS PRE PROCEDURE INFORMATION
  • When your procedure is completed the color will be intense and very dark. It will take 3-5 days for this color to settle and heal in the skin allowing a soft natural color to emerge.
  • If you have a extremely oily skin the Microblading technique will not work well for you. The constant production of oil will cause the hair strokes to heal with a diffused, softer look. That will cause your healed result more powdery then desired.
BROWS AFTER PROCEDURE INFORMATION

PLEASE NOTE: Eyebrows will appear darker and bolder due to natural scabbing and healing for the first 5 days. This is very common for all permanent cosmetic procedures.

  • Within the first few hours after the procedure, you can gently wipe over your eyebrow area with a cotton disc rinsed in Luke warm water.
This step must be repeated the morning after the procedure as well. This removes any lymph discharge.
  • Apply after care ointment once a day for two weeks after the procedure. Do not use too much, only seal the area, this will allow the
      skin to still breathe.
  • No scratching, rubbing of the treated area as when you pick a scab the pigment may be removed.
  • Avoid heavy sweating for the first 5 days.
  • Avoid direct sun exposure or tanning for 3-4 weeks after the procedure.
  • NO facials, Botox, chemical treatments or microdermabrasion within 4 weeks.
  • Very important is to never allow foundation to cover the eyebrows. This will result in grey looking eyebrows with foundation over it.
  • Permanent makeup on eyebrows will always look stunning when you have your eyebrows hair tinted regularly. We place pigment under the skin. Hair is on top, and it will make your PMU appear lighter. Remember to tint your eyebrows regularly.
TAKE NOTE:
After all Permanent Make-Up procedures the colour will be very extreme and vibrant until the healing process is complete. It is normal for areas to lose colour and fade with time, Perfection and durability will be achieved on the touch up procedure.
